More than a mission that we have given ourselves, the selection of the best Swiss artisan roasters is the leitmotif of our site, CoffeeAvenue. Here, discover the world of each of the small businesses that we have carefully chosen for their values and for the quality of their work, as well as their products.
Just as you will savor their stories, prepare yourself to savor their exceptional coffees, from rich terroirs and fair and equitable trade, between different links united around the same passion: that of coffee.
First of all, in keeping with our values, we have favoured artisans, small businesses born from a beautiful story, over large industrial groups. That of a group of friends driven by the same passion and wishing to change horizons, at the origin of The Coffee Society . Or that of the mountain bike champion Christoph Sauser who gave life to the Horizonte roasting house, having fallen in love with good local coffee during a competition in Colombia.
Each of the roasters present on CoffeeAvenue nurtures a love of the profession and devotes all the time necessary to each step, from the careful selection of terroirs to the slow and respectful roasting of the bean. Because an exceptional coffee is a variety that has been cultivated, chosen and roasted over a low heat. It is this process that allows us to obtain a complex coffee, rich in flavor, from which all the aromas are extracted. With pride, we are the spokesperson and showcase of this know-how passed down from generation to generation.
At CoffeeAvenue, we have also made it a point of honor to favor roasters whose values are in line with ours, working with companies on a human scale, close to their suppliers. Because a good roaster, for us, is one who has taken the time to go on site, to get to know the producer, his farm and his methods of processing and packaging coffee cherries after the harvest.
The roasters on CoffeeAvenue are also fair trade benchmarks, aiming for a fair redistribution of margins between all. For example, The Coffee Society 's blended coffees or specialty coffees are all certified by social and/or environmental labels. So you can enjoy your cup of coffee with complete peace of mind!
In line with our values, we also introduce you to eco-responsible roasters who favor organic farming when selecting their partners around the world. These small businesses also place the fight against over-packaging at the heart of their project, sometimes by providing reusable containers.
As you will have understood, for us and for the roasters that we represent, societal and environmental sustainability is essential, for responsible consumption and a passion for coffee experienced serenely by all.
